戸村 朝子TOMURA Asako

Asako Tomura studied surface science and media art, and after serving in the Advertising Division at Shiseido, she joined Sony in 2001. At Sony Pictures and Aniplex, she pioneered digital business for films and animation in the early internet era. Since 2010, she has worked in CSR, collaborating with international organizations and NGOs to address social issues, and from 2016, in R&D, leading prototyping of advanced content with artists and promoting sustainability technologies. She served as Planning Director of Ars Electronica 2021 Garden TOKYO and has recently been a jury member for the European Commission’s S+T+ARTS Prize, SIGGRAPH Asia, and the ACC Tokyo Creativity Awards. In October 2025, she became independent, focusing on practices at the intersection of art, science & technology, and society, as well as on nurturing the next generation.
