Artist and Director of NEW INC, Salome Asega is an inaugural member of the Dorchester Industries Experimental Design Lab developed by Theaster Gates, Rebuild Foundation, and Prada. Co-founder of POWRPLNT, a digital art lab for Brooklyn teens incubated by NEW INC; participated in residencies and fellowships at Eyebeam, The Laundromat Project, and Recess. She has exhibited at the Munch Museum, the 11th Shanghai Biennial, MoMA, the Carnegie Library, the August Wilson Center, and the Knockdown Center, among others. She serves as a board member of the School for Poetic Computation, the Jerome Foundation, and the National Performance Center.
